About the event
Wine has been produced and enjoyed for over 8,000 years. There are over 10,000 varieties of grapes grown around the globe. It makes sense that over such a length of time and with that many choices, some grapes and wine styles may have been lost to time. It's often proclaimed that old vines make for the best wines. But how old is old? 35 years? 50 years? What are the most ancient styles of wine?
Join us for another wine & learn night at KPC as we embark on an appropriately timed journey to explore ancient, old and resurrected vines from all over the world.
The wine list will be:
Italy, Casale del Giglio - Anthium Lazio Bellone Bianco (2020)
Greece, Avantis Estate - Malagouzia (2020)
Spain, Xirimiri - Getariako Txakolina Rose (2020)
Austria, Jalits - Eisenberg Blaufrankisch Szapary Reserve (2017)
USA, Stone Hill Winery - Norton Cross J Vineyard Hermann (2010)
Italy, Colsanto - Montefalco Sagrantino Di Montefalco (2015)
Food will be provided to accompany the tasting.
